Today my son who is 1 decided that he will only sit in his highchair for a limited time then at his discretion will stand up in his highchair!. We are struggling to keep him seated! I turned my head and he was reaching for the sink , oh my boy dont worry your time will come to do the dishes.
Jack is what we call "testing the waters/ or limits". Sometimes I find it hard not to laugh tho when he is so freaking cute!!, but then I think he is beginning to know this and use it as one of his super powers!! He loves to touch something he shouldn't, stop look at you and smile with the biggest grin ever!.....Oh man if this keeps up I will be in big trouble in the disciplinary department!
Another test he has for us lately is the "No" factor, mind you we do try to use positive re-enforcement as much as we can. Jack will touch the air conditioner , then we say no a few times take him away maybe read a book and its like he has this whole plan to give us this mis direction and go right back to touching the air conditioner or whatever it is we have said no to. I mean how much is their brain really developing and how much can they really understand at this point (apparently a lot more than I was ready for :)) Oh the joys of sweating in this heat wave.
But all in and all it is a great adventure to have another child who is so opposite then my first child, so many new adventures that I never new would be so exciting all over again!

life is a musical!
- Today as I changed my sweet boys bottom I found myself singing once again to distract my son from the fact that he was having to lay STILL. I was singing your everyday ABC song, we have almost come to this agreement that when mommy counts to ten or sings ABC at the end is when you can get up!. This seems to be working ever so often. Which in Jacks world is amazing as he is a very busy boy. I find it rather interesting however that ever since Jack has been born our life has turned into a musical; its funny when something makes your baby happy or relieved you tend to do it over and over. Our family will turn anything into a song just for Jack! .....Bath time, play time, getting into the car seat, eating, the songs are endless.!!..............

first day of blogging
So a friend of mine suggested a blog to me that was a mom blogging about her journey through motherhood. After reading her blog and feeling relieved in some of her stories as a mother, I have decided to give it a try.
I have two children at home whom I love dearly I have just had my sons first birthday, so baby land is a new world again in my life. I truly love reading about other moms and their similar struggles and wonderful ideas.
My sons name is Jack and he is sooo funny and completely different from my daughter! My daughter was always so calm and cool, very easy going. Jack however is so full of constant energy but yet at the same time can have up to 4 naps in a day. Today Jack decided that is was time to be wide awake at 4 am. So feeling like I was drunk from sleep deprevation I walked to his crib and gave him his soother and after a few minutes he went back to sleep......1 hour later it was time for him to let me know in a very loud manner that he needed his bottle!!!
Jack stayed up a few hours and is now sleeping! So I sit at this computer instead of dishes or laundry and wonder how this blog will sound being my first. hope this works out
